Little Sparklies
As most of you know, I'm in love with this pool blue/mint color but I use it so often so I thought some sparkly polka-dots would spice things up!
Check it out:

Valentine Nails
Happy Valentines Day to all my Love Bugs :)
I did my Valentine look this year using my Konad nail stamps. The picture below features me holding my nail stamper so that you can get a better look at the tools that I used to create this look!
May your day be filled with love!

Caviar Nails
I was recently gifted a caviar nail polish set and I've seen other ladies do them and I loved how they looked so I was eager to try out my new kit! Caviar nails is done by painting a base layer and pouring tiny beads on top to create a 3-d type nail. For the first time I tried it, I just did the accent nail on my ring finger but I'd definitely try it on all of my nails next time because it was super easy!
Here's how mine came out:
See you soon!

Polka-Dots
Hi everyone!
I've been loving polka dots recently so I thought I'd share my most recent dotty look. The dots are done with a dotting tool dipped into OPI Mermaid's Tears. I put a matte top coat over the look to give it some flare :)

Back to School Nails
It's that time of year again to go back to school!! In honor of my first day of school, I painted my ring fingers and thumbs so they looked like tiny lined pieces of notebook paper! I used a striper nail polish to do the striping.
I'll see you next time! And good luck with your own start to autumn!

Cloud Nails
Hey all!
So this is a fun nail look that I did for a sunny weekend here! I used OPI Suzi & The Lifeguard for a pink base. In order to create the "clouds," I dipped the end of a makeup brush in Essie Ole Caliente and Essie Lilacism and made big dots/blobs on the tips of my nails. I put Ole Caliente on and then layered with Lilacism to create multi colored clouds.

Interview Nails
Hey everyone!
So this week I went to an interview and I was having a really hard time coming up with a cool idea for my nails that was interview worthy but still fun. I came up with this idea to do a pink base with a gradient of golden sparkles. In order to do the gradient, I used a makeup sponge to apply OPI Up Front and Personal. I used the sponge because in theory, it is supposed to help make the sparkles build up gradually on the tips of my nails, kind of like this example.

For some reason, my gradient idea was a fail and it ended up looking just like I painted golden sparkles on like normal. But here's the final look:
It definitely did not come out like I was hoping it would but it worked well for the interview that I went to. Stay tuned though because I have some more great looks coming soon!

Everyday Spring Looks
Hey everyone!
Its a new quarter for me and I'm definitely loving the springy-ness! The countdown for graduation has begun which means I'll try to post new nail looks or crafts whenever I can, but don't get fussy with me if I get busy with school.
So here are some of my nail polish looks that I've worn in the past few weeks! Enjoy!

This look is with China Glaze For Audrey and Sally Hansen Gem Crush Showgirl Chic on my ring finger.
This was the look I wore for Easter! They reminded me of cute lil' Easter eggs! The colors I used were OPI What's with the Cattitude?, Sally Hansen Lightening, NYC Polyester Pink Creme, Essie Lilacism, and OPI Gargantuan Green Grape.
For Easter I got a new green to add to the collection from my boyfriend's (wonderful) mama. This look is done with Essie Navigate Her with a sparkly blue nail polish from Forever 21 on top (super cheap!). This one actually reminds me of a mermaid or seaweed or something summery!
That's all for now and I'll be back soon with more updates!

Some Favorites
Hey all!
My good friend Suzanne recently passed this article along to me about the newly released Spring Must Haves nail polish by Lucky Magazine. In light of the magazine's favorites, I thought I'd share some of my all time favorite nail polish products!

Seche Clear and Seche Vite are my favorite base and top coats. They are both super protective and the top coat has a great shine to it.
Drying Drops by Nicole by OPI have literally been a lifesaver. They dry my nails lightening fast so when I have no patience (aka all the time) I can put these drops on my newly painted nails and bam! they're ready to go.
These are my absolute favorite pinks. The one on the left is OPI Come to Poppy and the one on the right is Sally Hansen Shrimply Devine. I've owned the Sally Hansen one for far too long but I absolutely love it!
These are my go to favorites if I want to add a little sparkle to my life. Sally Hansen Gem Crush Showgirl Chic is on the left. OPI Up Front and Personal is on the right. In my opinion, every nail polish beauty needs to own something sparkly for now and then (or for everyday). I'm currently trying to get my hands on Lynnderella nail polish which is beyond sparkly and into the world of OMG ITS SO GLITTERFUL!! If you've never heard of Lynnderella, I highly recommend googling it.
These last two are just some of the other colors that I tend to turn to most frequently. On the left, OPI Mermaid's Tears from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection and on the right, Essie Lilacism.
See you next time!

It's Finally Happening
Happy Valentine's Day!
This is officially my first post on my new blog! I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to blogging so bear with me as we go on this blog extravaganza together!
To begin this very first post of mine, lets talk about love. I'm sure a few of you groaned when you read that last sentence but what can I say, I'm a sucker for anything romantic. Yesterday was Valentine's Day which meant the future school teacher inside me decided to wear a pink t shirt to celebrate the day. And as you'll soon find out, I'm a bit of a nail polish geek so of course, I had to paint my nails to match the holiday. To get the heart effect on my nail I used Konad stamping plate m46.
I also like to be quite crafty which leads me to my next point in this post. I think the best way to show someone how much you love and care for them is not to buy them the most expensive and flashy thing on the market but rather, make them something. I've recently really been getting into homemade gifts because they're extra thoughtful for the people you love. Plus its usually a lot cheaper so if you're a college student like myself, you're all about cheap goodies. This Valentine's Day I made my (super cute) boyfriend a candy card. A friend of mine had made me one back in middle school but I couldn't remember what she wrote so I googled some ideas and ended up tweaking most of them so they were perfect for a Valentine gift.

I probably should have given him an appointment to see the dentist too. |
Anyway, that's all I have in regard to lovey doviness so come back next time for some more goodness!
